testimonial love

“Working with Melissa was one of the best experiences I’ve had! It was my first time taking an animation voice workshop. Melissa’s feedback was helpful, concise, specific, easy to apply and FUN! I left the studio with confidence and drive. I can’t wait to do my VOICE DEMO with her! I highly recommend Voice Pro Studio and working with Melissa Altro!” – Jen Neales, Actor

This makes me smile :) Thank you to the spunky and talented Jen Neales for sending this my way.

radical rango

Below is a link to a preview for Rango, the animated feature starring the voice of Johnny Depp. The cool thing about this process is that the voice actors are able to move about in a sound studio. They are not confined by the traditional way of recording which is to stand at a mic solo in a booth with only their ear phones to keep them company! Instead, they can travel around the space and interact with each other as they record. How amazing is that? I love this! I can only imagine how fun that would be to get off mic and be able to move and play physically. Oh what freedom!

technical difficulties

Why oh why is this blog refusing to lay itself out for me in a clear way?! After countless attempts, I give up! We will just have to move on and hope that I can give you some clean lines next time round. Thanks for bearing with me and my technical difficulties!

Hello 2011!

I owe you a huge apology for being gone so long! I’ve been missing in action on the blog front. From the holidays to vacationing in sunny Florida, I tucked my laptop away for a bit…that being said, it’s 2011 and I’m back baby!

First things first…the January 15th workshop is all booked up which means registration is now closed. For those who didn’t get a spot this round, please don’t be shy and get in touch with me early so that you can get in on the fun next session. I’m thinking it will be happening at the end of February/beginning of March. I will definitely keep y’all posted as things become more clear in the scheduling department.

Next things next…i’ll be in the studio a whole bunch this month recording demos. If you want to start your year off with a bang, book your demo sesh asap! I promise to update the site with some new and fabulous recordings for your listening pleasure :)
